Cetak Banyak Rekor Baru, Musisi Perempuan Berjaya di Grammy Awards 2021

Taylor Swift menangkan Album of The Year, Beyonce cetak rekor baru.

Grammy Awards 2021 akhirnya rampung diselenggarakan pada 14 Maret 2021 di STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, California, waktu setempat. Dibawakan oleh Trevor Noah, malam penghargaan yang diadakan tanpa audience ini tetap berlangsung dengan lancar dengan sederet penampilan memukau dan sejarah baru terukir, khususnya untuk para musisi perempuan.

Grammy Awards 2021 dimeriahkan oleh Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, dan BTS yang akhirnya debut sebagai penampil di panggung Grammy Awards.

Taylor Swift kembali mengklaim penghargaan Album of The Year dengan “Folklore”, membuat dirinya menjadi musisi perempuan pertama dengan 3 trofi dari kategori bergengsi tersebut.

Namun, diva sesungguhnya pada pagelaran Grammy ke-63 adalah Beyonce; dengan total 9 nominasi dan 4 kemenangan. Ia berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan Best R&B Performance dan Best Music Video, serta Best Rap Performance dan Best Rap Performance untuk kolaborasinya dengan Megan thee Stallion melalui lagu “Savage”.

Kini Beyonce tercatat sebagai musisi dengan penghargaan Grammy terbanyak dengan total 28 penghargaan. Setelah mendominasi pada Grammy tahun lalu, Billie Eilish kembali memenangkan Record of The Year melalui singlenya, “Everything I Wanted”.
